Farmstead Firearm Safety & Overview
The Old Smith Place
Brodhead, WI
Share this event:

Have you ever thought of firearms as useful farmstead tools? Like to feel a bit more comfortable using them? Then this is the workshop for you. Dane & Betty Anderson and Anthony 'Doc' & Danielle Dockery will help you gain a better understanding of the firearms you already own and their utility around the farm.  This course will cover safety and general  overview including live firing. You are  encouraged to bring your own firearms and ammunition.  Dane and Doc are long-time gunsmiths and Betty and Danielle are former military veterans.

SPECIAL NOTE: All workshop attendees bringing their own firearms must arrive to the farm with their firearms unloaded and safety on.

This is an adults (ages 18 and above) only workshop.

A free copy of Renewing the Countryside: WISCONSIN will be given away to every family, couple and/or household registered for a particular workshop (a $26.95 value); the free book giveaway is limited to one copy per residential address of attendees.

About The Old Smith Place:

Betty Anderson and her husband Dane are the current stewards at The Old Smith Place outside Brodhead. Their 40 acres is home to one Jersey house cow and her off-spring as well as goats, chickens, ducks, guinea fowl and several fuzzy felines.  Betty is a Navy veteran and relatively new to farm life but has been gardening and putting up her produce since she was a kid alongside mom and dad.  She also hold down an off farm job in the housing industry whose focus is providing education in financial literacy & promoting home-ownership as a vehicle to stabilizing some of Beloit's tougher neighborhoods.

CANCELLATION POLICY: NO REFUNDS.  SOIL SISTERS has a no refund policy. You can, however, transfer your ticket to another person, provided that person is in possession of the ticket at the time of the workshop.
