Peony Walk

Peonies bloom furiously and briefly within a narrow range of climate conditions. Join us as we celebrate the arrival of our spring beauties. Valued for their exquisite color, fragrance, and form, Chinese tree peonies are unmatched in sensuality and beauty. Tour Snug Harbor's Chinese tree peony collection and learn why these flowers have inspired gardeners, artists, and poets for over a thousand years. Your tour tickets include admission to the New York Chinese Scholars Garden for the rest of the day after the walk. This event is rain or shine. Meet in front of the Carl Grillo Glass House.
The Tree Peony Collection has been supported by the City Gardens Club of New York City with an additional in-kind donation from Mr. Tom Paulo. The Friends of the Chinese Scholars Garden provides continuing support in the maintenance of the New York Chinese Scholars Garden.
