YOUTH COMPETITION PRIZES
Division I: 1st - $100, 2nd - $50, 3rd - Gryphon T Shirt and gift package
Prizes, Division II: 1st - $50, 2nd - Free admission to next year's competition, 3rd - Gryphon T Shirt and gift package
Judges: Sedona Farber and others tba
Youth divisions are open to performers stated upper age limit or younger as of the first day of the competition.
Time limits:
Youth Division I (ages 15-18) - Seven minutes
Youth Division II (ages 14 and under) - Five minutes
No more than one minute tuning and preparation time will be allowed before timing starts.
Competition is for performance on six string Classical Guitar
Free choice program, one round.
Choice of repertoire is entirely up to the performer. If a competitor exceeds the given time allotted, he or she will be asked to stop with no penalty to his or her evaluation.
Competitors will be evaluated on technique, musicianship, and overall presentation.
Competitors may inquire for judges comments only after the competition has ended. Upon such requests, sharing comments with performers is at the sole discretion of the judges
All judges decisions are final.
