The Laramie Project Cycle: Parts One and Two
Following the success of their fall production of THE LARAMIE PROJECT, The Wandering Theatre Company returns to Laramie with a new production of THE LARAMIE PROJECT: TEN YEARS LATER. Both productions will be play in repertory with each other, so that audiences have the chance to see both parts of this epic American Story.
Ten Years after the horrific murder of Matthew Shephard, The Tectonic Theatre Project returned to Laramie Wyoming to try to understand the long-term affect of the murder. They found a town wrestling with it's legacy and it's place in history.
In addition to revisiting the folks whose words riveted us in the original play, this time around, the company also spoke with the two murderers Russell Henderson and Aaron McKinney, as well as Matthews Mother, Judy Shephard. THE LARAMIE PROJECT: TEN YEARS LATER is a bold new work, which asks the question, "How does society write its own history?".
