History in the Making: Living Legends Tribute Concert
The Ethnic Heritage Ensemble will perform at The Ohio Theatre & Event Center on Sunday February 18. History in the Making: Living Legends Tribute Concert will feature the music of acclaimed multi-instrumentalists Kahil ElZabar, Corey Wilkes, and Alex Harding for a unique jazz performance full of spirit and soul that transcends our expectations of the live jazz experience. Prior to the EHE concert a VIP ceremony will be held to honor five special guests. These individuals will be recognized during a private reception as living legends in our community to celebrate Black History Month and their local contribution in service, leadership, and community engagement.

We'll honor Dr. Anthony Armstrong, Sheena Barnes, Ruth Leonard, Dr. Lorna Gonsalves, and Errick Dixon.

UPDATE:

A portion of all ticket sales will support a local music program, MY5TERY MUSIC, led by Errick Dixon (known to most as "Mr. E").

At My5tery Music™, the programs teach students the power of Living in the Light™. The program helps Students find their inner light through a unique series of performing arts programs called the "5 Musical My5teries™." The 5 Musical My5teries™ Performing Arts Program provides a unique combination of intellectual, physical, & multifaceted music and performing arts activities & education training for students to hone the talent and passion for the arts into which they have yet to tap.

They use these activities to correlate the desire and discipline in learning the different performing arts to craft the desire and discipline it takes to excel academically. In short, they achieve intellectual curiosity and engaged learning, which leads to complete attentiveness to all aspects of whats needed to accomplish academic and performing arts excellence.
