Beginning Homestead Tour
Windy Hill Farm
Albany, WI
Share this event:

Spend some time touring a beginning homestead! See how seven acres are being transformed into a sustainable and sustaining homestead. Fields of corn and beans are now rotationally grazed pastures supporting sheep, pigs and chickens; gardens are helped along by the resident bees, and trees are being reintroduced to the landscape for food, shelter and conservation. Come walk and talk with us!  Please wear farm appropriate clothing and shoes.

Children (ages 10 and over) welcome with ticketed adult and own paid ticket (for the child).

A free copy of Renewing the Countryside: WISCONSIN will be given away to every family, couple and/or household registered for a particular workshop (a $26.95 value); the free book giveaway is limited to one copy per residential address of attendees.

About Windy Hill Farm:

Windy Hill Farm is a beginning homestead. What was once rows of corn and beans is now 7 acres of pasture, gardens, new trees and home to a variety of animals including sheep, chickens, bees and pigs.
