Bach by CandleLight
One of my favorite writers, Douglas Adams once said:
"Beethoven tells you what it's like to be Beethoven and Mozart tells you what it's like to be human. Bach tells you what it's like to be the universe."
i couldn't have said it better myself. unless it was this:
When eminent biologist and author Lewis Thomas was asked what message he would choose to send from Earth into outer space in the Voyager spacecraft, he answered, "I would send the complete works of Johann Sebastian Bach." After a pause, he added, "But that would be boasting."
join us at 7pm for an hour or so of some of the most timeless music ever written. there will be a wide variety of players, from students to some of the top musicians in the Cincinnati Symphony! i'll be your host. tickets are free, but you have to have one. seating will be limited to about 50 because it will be purely acoustic music.... as Bach intended!
