PATRICK BALL: Celtic Harp and Story
PATRICK BALL is one of the premier Celtic harpers and storytellers in the world today. He is an American master of the Irish instrument who weaves words and music into a spellbinding program. He resides in Sonoma County (with his wife, artist Susan Ball) and tours extensively throughout the U.S. and Canada. Patrick has been awarded grants by the Zellerbach Family Fund, California Arts Council; recipient of Circle of Excellence Award from National Storytelling Association. He has recorded nine instrumental and three spoken word albums; sold over half million . Along with "Celtic Harp and Story" , Patrick has written and performs in two solo musical theater pieces O'Carolan's Farewell to Music; and The Fine Beauty of the Island. Program: In "Celtic Harp and Story", modern day bard PATRICK BALL weaves tale-telling, history and entrancing harp music to create a warm and magical performance that will leave the audience spell-bound.
