Join twelve year old Skye and ten year old Mara Dickson on their family farm for a day of being a farm kid. You'll be introduced to our cows, cats, dogs, and go on a pony ride. There will be time to go out to the chicken trucks and collect eggs as well as go on a hay ride. Once the animal chores are done it's time to head to the garden for a scavenger hunt and make a flower bouquet to take home. Parents are welcome to be a kid along with their kids (everyone needs to register and purchase a ticket). Or parents are welcome to register kids for this class and take Mom Katy Dicksons So You Want To Be a Farmer class that runs at the same time. For kids ages 6 and up.
A free copy of Renewing the Countryside: WISCONSIN will be given away to every family, couple and/or household registered for a particular workshop (a $26.95 value); the free book giveaway is limited to one copy per residential address of attendees.
About Christensens Farm
A family farm with three generations playing in the dirt and raising healthy and wholesome vegetables and chickens for eggs. This farm is a certified-organic Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) operation.
CANCELLATION POLICY: NO REFUNDS. SOIL SISTERS has a no refund policy. You can, however, transfer your ticket to another person, provided that person is in possession of the ticket at the time of the workshop.
