Eating locally year-round is not as difficult as it may seem. Join culinarian Jen Wiedel of The Grove Market and Blackhawk Technical College alongside Lauren Rudersdorf of Raleigh's Hillside Farm as they demonstrate techniques to easily fabricate produce for use in colder months. This workshop will include a taste of some holiday favorites as well as some contemporary creations using preserved ingredients. Participants will leave with a goodie bag including recipes and a pound of fresh produce to preserve from Raleigh's Hillside Farm.
Children (ages 5 and over) welcome with ticketed adult and own paid ticket (for the child).
A free copy of Renewing the Countryside: WISCONSIN will be given away to every family, couple and/or household registered for a particular workshop (a $26.95 value); the free book giveaway is limited to one copy per residential address of attendees.
