DIY Barn Board Signs: Craft your Farm Statement
Inn Serendipity Bed and Breakfast and Farm
Browntown, WI
Share this event:

Hand-painted barn board signs are all the rage, but this is a unique opportunity to create a truly "authentic" version directly on the farm with vintage barn wood from Inn Serendipity.

Take home a personal memento of the Soil Sisters weekend that will bring farm life into your home everyday, with several patterns and sayings available for you to make.  No experience required and all supplies provided.  Older children (ages 12 and over) welcome with ticketed adult and own paid ticket (for the child).

BONUS: A free copy of Renewing the Countryside: WISCONSIN will be given away to every family, couple and/or household registered for a particular workshop (a $26.95 value); the free book giveaway is limited to one copy per residential address of attendees.

About Lisa Kivirist and John D. Ivanko

As farmers, authors of fifteen books, national speakers and recognized spokespeople for the national sustainable agriculture movement, Lisa Kivirist and John Ivanko love to talk about rural life.  They're regular presenters at numerous national conferences and library, university and community events. They're also always fixing up the barns and outbuildings of the 100-year-old farmstead.  Lisa authored Soil Sisters. Together, they're co-authors of Homemade for Sale, Farmstead Chef, the award-winning ECOpreneuring and Rural Renaissance. John is also the co-author of several award-winning children's multicultural photobooks, including To Be a Kid, Be My Neighbor and To Be an Artist.

CANCELLATION POLICY: NO REFUNDS.  SOIL SISTERS has a no refund policy. You can, however, transfer your ticket to another person, provided that person is in possession of the ticket at the time of the workshop.
