Reading Series: Five Women Wearing the Same Dress
During an ostentatious wedding reception at a Knoxville estate, five reluctant and identically-clad bridesmaids hide out in an upstairs bedroom, each with her own reason to avoid the proceedings below. They include a painfully sweet but sheltered fundamentalist, the groom's wisecracking lesbian sister, a heartbroken old friend, the bride's rebellious younger sister, and a jaded beauty with a die-hard cynicism about men. As the afternoon wears on, these five women joyously discover a common bond in this wickedly irreverent comedy.

A new series in a new space! In 2011, Pink Banana partnered with Falls Patio Players to present a preview reading of our production of Dead Man's Cell Phone. Following the amazing feedback from this event, we are excited to announce this new Reading Series. The offerings for fall 2012 and spring 2013, collectively entitled "Captivating," feature intriguing characters battling their own confinement be it death, society, or disease. Please join us for these exciting and truly "theatrical" evenings in our brand-new space in the Underground Collaborative and help support emerging artists in the Milwaukee theatre scene.
