History of the Ginkgo
Join us for an enlightening evening with Sir Peter Crane, FRS as he discusses the History of the Ginkgo. A fascinating tale that dates back some 270 million years, Crane will relate the story of this rare Jurassic era survivor that's still at home in our contemporary world.
Sir Peter Crane is the current dean of the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Science, and the former director of the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew. A specialist in plant evolution, Crane is fellow of the Royal Society, a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences and a member of the US National Academy of Sciences.
