2006 Pet Silvia
The Art Business for Artists
A Workshop/Lecture with curator/artist Pet Silvia
Join this year's SEAF guest curator for an entertaining workshop designed especially for artists who want to discuss those important topics they don't teach in art school. From preparing your portfolio to promoting your work, engaging gallery owners to entering juried exhibitions, meeting art collectors to selling more art-- this workshop will give you the edge you need to succeed in the art world!
Pet Silvia has 25 years of experience in the art industry and is currently the proprietor of the hugely successful New York gallery, Art @ Large. He has been on both sides of the portfolio, as an artist and curator and knows what it takes to make it in the art industry.
This lecture is geared towards artists who work within the genre of erotic and figurative art who are often restricted due to content. Pet will teach you how to utilize the alternative sources for marketing your work and ways to extend your craft to get noticed.
Saturday March 25. 1:00-3:00pm. $25 advance only, includes admission to the Festival on Saturday.
