A Hawk and a Hacksaw
The brainchild of percussionist Jeremy Barnes (Neutral Milk Hotel) and violinist Heather Trost, A HAWK AND A HACKSAW have taken up residence in Budapest for the last few years, touring around Europe and eating Hungarian cuisine with Ferenc Kovacs, who has also joined them on trumpet and violin. Chris Hladowski came to Budapest from Glasgow last winter, where he plays with The Family Elan and Nalle. In A Hawk and a Hacksaw he plays bouzouki, clarinet, and viola. This newly formed quartet has just completed tours in Europe with Portishead as well as appearing at All Tomorrow's Parties.
