Bill McKibben at The Well: A Gathering Place for Conversation
Join 350.org founder and activist Bill McKibben for a special talk on climate change, coal, and the Pacific Northwest. Bill has led the charge to stop the Keystone Pipeline from bisecting our country. As an international leader on climate change, he calls on the leaders of nations to reduce carbon in our atmosphere to 350 parts per million, the highest amount scientists agree to be safe.
This year we begin The Well with an exploration into our world, energy, food (nutrition and access), water, and what we can do about making the world a better place.
As our region debates the efficacy of transporting coal to our ports, your voices are vital. The issue of our climate affects all of us - rich and poor; black, white, and all hues in between; man, woman, and child; people of all faiths and people with no faith. We hope you join us for this talk. Bill McKibben will be speaking as part of a spring series at The Well called "Food, Faith, and Planet."
