Step back in time for a Slavic-Mexico fiesta! Listen to favorite music hits from the traditions of wedding music of the roaming bands typical to Mexico and the Balkan countries of the old Yugoslavia. Join us for waltzes, kolos, polkas, and other popular group dances.
Musical performances by Vancouver's RIO SAMAYA (www.riosamayaband.com), ORKESTAR SLIVOVICA (www.orkestarslivovica.org) and MARIACHI LOS DORADOS (www.losdorados.ca).
Dance performances by GRADINA Balkan Dancers and MEXICO VIVO Dancers (www.mexicovivo.ca). In their respective folk costumes, the dancers will present some typical traditional dances from Mexico, Serbia, Bosnia, and Macedonia.

Doors at 8pm. Show to start very soon thereafter with a breaking of a custom-made trumpet pinata. All children under age 14 can enter the pinata breaking party.
Quality snacks and drinks will be available. Slivovica and Tequila. Dress festive and wear your dance shoes!
Tickets $20 advance (plus service charges), $10 for children under 14 (same price for children in advance or at the door).
