Untitled Scores: Experiments in Improvisation
Doppelgänger Dance Collective (DDC) -- the acclaimed Providence-based dance company founded by Shura Baryshnikov and Danielle Davidson -- will co-produce and perform in their third evening-length program, Untitled Scores: Experiments in Improvisation, at The Granoff Center at Brown University this March 1st-3rd 2018.
With dance collaborators from Rhode Island, Boston, Portland, New York and beyond, audiences are given the opportunity to see multiple approaches to performing improvised dance, featuring progressive, sometimes cross-disciplinary, scores and highlighting the diversity and innovation discoverable only in improvised performance.

Free masterclasses are made possible by the Strandberg Fund.
Performances at 7:30PM on March 1st, 2nd, and 3rd The collaborative evening includes works by Danielle Davidson and Riley Watts, setGO, and features New England artists Heidi Henderson, Shura Baryshnikov, Cathy Nicoli and Lila Hurwitz. Each performances will be followed by an informal talkback, giving audience an opportunity to engage with the artists and reflect on the material being presented.
As is reflected in Doppelgänger Dance Collectives mission, it is necessary that the performances provide community access to the participating choreographers as well as offering community benefit through the free masterclasses.
