Songwriters In The Round - Season Premiere

Lisa Redfern brings three talented Maine songwriters to perform in an intimate, unplugged setting in Frontier's theatre for an evening of compelling songs and stories.

For over 25 years Lisa's music has brought joy and comfort to hundreds of thousands. An award-winning singer-songwriter currently at work on her 9th solo CD, she blends her roots in all forms of Americana music to create something unmistakably her own. After Lisa opened for Livingston Taylor he commented to her, "Wow, I haven't heard of voice like yours in 30 years, you sound like the original folk women."

Jud Caswell
Jud Caswell first hit the folk scene in 2004, earning a buzz of attention with a long string of wins at some of the most prestigious songwriting contests in the country. They say, "write what you know," so Jud has taken his backyard ballads and small-town yarns to stages from Texas to Oregon and back. Emilia Dahlin
With a gift for story and a graceful voice, Emilia Dahlin weaves mesmerizing tales (complete with Greek myths, robotic messiahs, epic floods and tax evaders) with raw, rootsy folk and dynamic jazz vocals. With an element of stealth, Emilia often illuminates pressing social and environmental issues with subtlety and creativity.

David Dodson
David Dodson is an extraordinary songwriter. He writes with a filmmaker's vision about such topics as shopping malls, his great grandfather, work, yodeling, love, visiting Paris, and his ex-fiance, [aka his wife].
