A Tale of Blackbeard Musical

*** History, action, romance, and humor are artistically intertwined in this production featuring an Ocracoke Island cast! This musical play, by Julie Howard, (directed by Karen Dundore-Gulotta) recounts the final days of Blackbeard and crew on Ocracoke Island, the budding romance between one of his young sailors and an island girl, and the battle that sealed Blackbeards fate.
A Tale of Blackbeard is produced by the Ocracoke non-profit, Ocracoke Alive. Profits from the show return to the Ocracoke School and Community through educational programs.
Shows take place at the Ocracoke Community Center (June 11-25) and Ocracoke School Gym Auditorium (July 2-August 13) on, Ocracoke Island. Tickets for the 2018 season are $15 Adults and $7 Kids. The show lasts approximately two hours with intermission.
Some tickets are available for pre-sales online, and some tickets are held for the door sales. The door opens 30 minutes before the show. All seating is general.
