Beginning Etching Class

Dates: Thursday, February 28th, 6:00pm-9:00pm and Thursday, March 7th, 6:00pm-9:00pm
Cost: $65
Materials fee: $12, includes copper, ink, grounds and paper.
Maximum capacity: 8 students

This basic, introductory workshop provides students with all the information they need to create a rich line etching and aquatint using less toxic methods. Students will learn to prepare their plates, coat them with hardground, etch with ferric chloride and print. We will cover aquatint techniques to create gray scale. This workshop is open to students who are just beginning and those who need a refresher course.
