The Legendary Dick Whittington Jazz Trio
Seven decades is a lot of time devoted to an art form, be it painting, writing, sculpture or playing music. Mr. Whittington has played jazz consistently for decades. Imagine if any of us had embarked on a steadfast journey for that many years. They say you need to pursue something for 10,000 hours to master a skill. If you practiced a skill 2 hours a day, every day, it would take 14 years to achieve master status provided you had some talent.
Join in a provocative sensory evening of jazz with the Dick Whittington Jazz Trio. The internationally acclaimed artist brings a wide palette from the "Great American Soundbook." Sit back and enjoy straight ahead bebop at the intimate "perfect acoustic" setting of Flytrap Annex. Dick will be playing the 7' Steinway B grand piano. Drinks and snacks available. Jazz at it's BEST! Come hear what "legendary" means.
Sidemen are the great Vince Lateano on drums and the highly respected bass player Robb Fisher.
This performance will be recorded live.
Limited Seating, reserve your spot!
