Keep the Change Evelyn Rubenstein JCC Directed by Sandy Chronopoulos USA, 2017, 94 min English Drama
Winner of the best narrative feature at the Tribeca Festival, this romantic comedy chronicles the relationship of David and Sarah, two young people on the autism spectrum. David, son of wealthy Jewish parents, is forced to join a support group after he insults a cop. Sarah, unlike David, recognizes and accepts her disabilities. As their relationship deepens, she challenges David to embrace his own uniqueness. The cast is comprised mostly of autistic members of Manhattans Jewish Community Center. An endearing and naturalistic romantic comedy about people navigating the difficulties of a relationship, Keep the Change details an underrepresented community with authenticity, optimism and humor.
Join us after the film for a wine tasting by Fleicher Wines, a division of Mexcor.
