The CPAP Alternative: Solutions for Sleep Apnea
In the U.S. alone, more than 18 million adults suffer from sleep apnea. Even though CPAP is most commonly used to treat sleep apnea, many find it too cumbersome and uncomfortable to use. Luckily, oral appliances have become a popular alternative in recent years. Oral appliances are custom fitted over the teeth and position the jaw forward, opening the airway. Some advantages of oral appliances over CPAP include:
- Comfort - Portability - Quiet - Ease of wear and care - Treats snoring
Join us as Dr. Lovell explains how effective and convenient oral appliance therapy can be for the treatment of mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea, as well as severe sleep apnea in those who cannot tolerate CPAP. ___________________________________________________________
