Love Is Thicker Than Water Saturday, March 17 | 8:30 PM
Evelyn Rubenstein JCC Directed by Emily Harris & Ate De Jong UK/Netherlands, 2016, 101 min English Comedy
In this modern Romeo and Juliet story, Vida and Arthur come from vastly different backgrounds. He is a bike courier from a Welsh working class background and she is a cellist from a wealthy Jewish family. Set in contemporary London, this touching, sensitive and quirky tale show how religion and class collide. But as in Shakepeares play, conflicting family ties present a challenge. Will love prevail? Johnny Flynn (Genius), Juliet Stevenson (Truly, Madly, Deeply), and Ellie Kendrick (Game of Thrones) are part of the ensemble cast.
