WTS Career Development Workshop (Full Day)
Resilience is now recognized as a defining characteristic of employees who deal well with the stress of organizational change. Resilient people are better able to deal with the demands placed upon them, especially where those demands require dealing with constantly changing priorities, a heavy workload, and interpersonal conflict. In this workshop youll learn about an emerging mindfulness intervention that focuses on new research on how the body and mind respond to stress and approaches to reducing stress and building resilience. Youll also learn and practice valuable tools designed to enable you to best respond to difficult moments, change and stress.
The workshop will include: Understanding the significant difference between change and transition and the need to manage both Exploring the transition curve and typical reactions to change Understanding the minds and bodys response to stress The mindful approach to stress and change and how to motivate yourself with kindness rather than criticism Practical tools to handle difficult emotions with greater ease and enhance your resilience
WTS is excited to have Judy Clarke, M.Ed. Psychology, lead this dynamic and cutting-edge workshop! Judy is an organizational development consultant with over 30 years of experience. Judy has had a mindfulness practice for over 20 years, is teacher-trained in Mindful Self-Compassion from UC San Diego, and is certified by William Bridges on Managing Change and Transition.
