The Whiteside Theatre Foundation is celebrating Black History Month with Roo & Friends: An Evening of Joy and Harmony. On Thursday, February 28th, OSU 2012 Most Distinguished Alumni Award Winner Roosevelt Credit will sing a selection of his favorite songs for the Whiteside Theatre at 7 PM. He will perform two full acts with his friends and special guests, including OSU Chamber Choir and Gale Hazel. On display that evening will be special works of art from the students of Lincoln Elementary on the theme of "Joy and Harmony." For more information about Roosevelt Credit see rooseveltcredit.com.
The Whiteside Theatre is located at 361 S.W. Madison Avenue, Corvallis. All proceeds from this performance will support the rehabilitation of the theatre, and the current Relight the Whiteside Campaign, raising grant-matching funds to restore the 1950 Streamline marquee.
Doors open at 6:30 PM for this special one-night-only concert. Admission is $20 for adults 18+; $15 for seniors 65+; $10 for members of the Whiteside Theatre Foundation; and $5 for students aged 13-17; children 12 and under are free when accompanied by paying ticket holder.
