Lorca Hart Trio featuring Josh Nelson and Gary Brown

The art of the jazz trio continues in Oakland, courtesy of the Lorca Hart Trio, featuring drummer Lorca Hart, dynamic pianist Josh Nelson, a long time collaborator and friend of Lorcas, and Gary Brown on bass.

High expectations are in order for this trio, led by Hart, who has played with Kyle Eastwood and Hugh Masekela, the Clayton Brothers, Anthony Wilson, among many, and is known as an educator in California and New Mexico. On piano, Josh Nelson will supply his melodic and swinging touch. Josh was Natalie Cole's pianist for years and is one of the most sought after musicians internationally. Rounding out the trio is internationally known bassist Gary Brown. Brown has become a phenomenal voice in the jazz world touring with Pharaoh Sanders, Steve Winwood, Lou Rawls and Pete Escovedo.
