Leslie Tinnaro in Loving Lerner - My Heart Took Flight
Leslie Tinnaro comes to the Arthur Newman Theater following her 3 sold out performances of this production at the Coachella Valley Repertory Theater in Rancho Mirage last July. Born and raised in Long Beach, CA., Ms. Tinnaro is a new resident to the Palm Springs area where she has quickly garnered attention and fans as a welcome asset to the performing arts community. Leslie has previously performed in the original cast of Evita when it made its premiere at the Shubert Theatre in Los Angeles, and stayed with the company during its opening run on Broadway in New York. Fortunate to have performed many roles, her favorite is Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady; a role she has played in many productions all over the United States. That role is what inspired Leslie into creating her Cabaret Concert, Loving Lerner - My Heart Took Flight. Leslies voice is a perfect match for singing the very genius, clever and romantic lyrics written by Alan Jay Lerner that easily translates that Broadway feel to the intimacy of a Cabaret performance. Leslie loves incorporating her unique perspective and passion for musical theatre with the personal connection you feel with a live cabaret audience, and is currently working on future shows with her musical director, Christopher Marlowe, who will accompany Leslie for Loving Lerner - My Heart Took Flight.
Loving Lerner My Heart Took Flight, starring Leslie Tinnaro and accompanied by Christopher Marlowe is Sunday, January 28, 2018 at 2 PM at the Arthur Newman Theatre at the Joslyn Center, 73750 Catalina Way in Palm Desert. Tickets are $15 cash only and doors open at 1 PM. For questions, please call 760-325-2731.
