AETERNA TRIO One Night Only Improvisional Concert
Take a piano, a cello, and a violin, add three very talented players who re-imagine what are considered 'eternal' melodies and musical themes in ways that are thought interesting and fun. What you have is another exciting musical evening at Deertrees Theatre with the best acoustics around! This 'One Night Only' concert with the AETERNO TRIO is July 26th at 7:30 PM. General Admission Seating - Doors open at 7:00 PM.
AETERNA TRIO, the exciting and inspiring new ensemble featuring Ben Birkbeck (piano), Devon Colella (cello), and Andy Happel (violin), took flight in the late summer of 2013 with an impromptu performance at a wedding ceremony. The triumvirate found themselves instantly in sync with one another and an exhilarating new discovery was made within this chemistry.
With AETERNA TRIO, forces collide in a genre-bending hail as these exceptional musicians spontaneously 'riff' on a classical theme, rock favorite, or their own contemporary compositions. Highly skilled at musical improvisation, AETERNA TRIO is sure to become known for composing new music right in front of audiences eyes.
Playfully reinterpreting beloved classical themes such as Canon in D, The Nutcracker, Ave Maria, Nessun Dorma, and many others; AETERNA TRIO takes these familiar melodies to entirely new places.
Debut concerts took place in December 2013 and featured popular music from Phantom of the Opera, songs from pop artists such as Sting, U2, Peter Gabriel, and even Led Zeppelin, as well as holiday favorites to fit the season.
