War of the Worlds and Other Voyages
6Degrees Collaborative is proud to announce the start of their fourth season with the groundbreaking original production War of the Worlds, March 3, 7:30 p.m., at the famous Bug Theatre, 3654 Navajo St., Denver, CO. Inspired by the greatest tales of early science fiction 6Degrees opens War of the Worlds with Orson Welles iconic radio address before setting the audience adrift in the space-time continuum courtesy of H.G Wells Time Machine, guiding them to the distant future, the ancient past, and beyond the bonds of Earth to the fantastical lunar surface of Georges Melies A Trip to the Moon. Featuring their renowned original choreography, live music, acrobatics,projections, and improvisation, 6Degrees creates a dancescape of stunning visuals, kinetic movement, and invigorating music to shepard audiences through the farthest reaches of space and time.
General admission tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door; children 12 and under are $10 in advance; large group (4+) and senior discounts tickets are available for $10. Advanced ticket sales are available now.
6Degrees Collaborative is a budding non-profit project that uses classic and contemporary literary sources, modern dance, performance art, experimental theater, original music, modern rock, eclectic movement and multimedia visuals to create inspiring and memorable performances. Residing in Northern Colorado since 2012 the company is made up of professional dancers, musicians, and performance artists from the Denver, Boulder and Fort Collins area. 6Degrees has performed alongside the Dead Jam House Band, at New West Fest, The Edge Dance Festival, and performing to songs by Proper Scarlet, Ode to the Marionette and The Echo Chamber.
