Farm Sanctuary Field Trip
Join Chico Vegan Meetup on a field trip to Farm Sanctuary in Orland. The rescued animals at Farm Sanctuary love visitors as much as youll love touring our farm animal shelters! The sanctuary is home to rescued cows, pigs, turkeys, and other farmed animals and each has a special story. Their stories of struggle and survival, against all odds, give the public insight into the realities farm animals face in the modern factory farming industry, but also introduce us to inspiring individuals through their heartwarming tales.
We will plan to eat lunch at the farm, so please bring a vegan lunch and something to drink. If you want to bring something vegan to share, please do!
This trip is limited to 10 people. Register now to secure your spot. You have the option of paying now ($5) or using the free option and waiting until the day of the event and paying at the sanctuary if you are able.
Attendees will meet at the Chico Park and Ride at 10 am sharp arrange carpools to Orland for this trip, or attendees can drive themselves. If you are late, the group will have to leave without you.
Additional Information: Closed toe shoes are recommended. Attendees will be walking up and down hills on gravel and dirt roads. For their safety and the safety of the animal residents, companion animals are not allowed on the sanctuary grounds at any time. Please do not leave companion animals inside your vehicle while you are visiting.
