An Evening with Cellist Lynn Harrell and the Colorado Chamber Players
World famous cellist Lynn Harrell will perform with the Colorado Chamber Players for ONE PERFORMANCE ONLY, on Saturday April 14th at Bethany Lutheran Church.
A graduate of the Curtis Institute, Mr. Harrell began his career at age 20 as principal cellist of the Cleveland Symphony under George Szell. A winner of the Avery Fischer Prize and the Piatagorsky Award, he has performed with every major American orchestra as soloist, including the NY Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony, Philadelphia Orchestra and Boston Symphony. His extensive discography of over 30 recordings includes the complete Bach Cello Suites, and concerti with St. Martin in the Field and the St. Louis Symphony. Mr. Harrell is a distinguished pedagogue, and has taught at the Royal Academy in London, Rice University, and at the Aspen and Verbier Festivals.
