21st Annual AAUW/UWF Kitchen Tour - Port Townsend WA.
The Port Townsend branch of AAUW/UWF is proud to announce its 21st Annual Kitchen Tour, to be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018, 10 am to 4 pm. The Kitchen Tour is interesting and fun, and a great way to get remodeling or building ideas while you're supporting local education projects. Join us for a day of inspiration as nine beautiful homes will be featured in this year's kitchen tour. The homes are located in the historic Uptown district area as well as in the Central and North Beach areas of Port Townsend.
Through the University Womens Foundation, AAUW Port Townsends 501(c)(3) philanthropic arm, proceeds from this popular annual event fund scholarships and education projects benefiting public schools in the Brinnon, Chimacum, Port Townsend, and Quilcene school districts. Proceeds sponsor scholarships and STEM recognition for high school students, Career Days for 8th graders, phonics and reading programs for kindergartners, a math program for 3rd graders, and STEM camp for 7th graders.
Passports (which include detailed descriptions of the kitchens), raffle baskets, and free light refreshments and kitchen design seminars will be available at the hospitality center, located at the First Presbyterian Church, 1111 Franklin Street in Port Townsend. Stop by for your tour passport, enjoy refreshments and learn more about kitchens through our guest speaker seminars there.
