Hat City Music: "The Whole World in Her Hands"
David Katz and Hat City Music present the brilliant soprano Awet Andemicael, a Hat City Music Theater artist and 2005 Boston Symphony soloist, returning to Danbury to perform "The Whole World in Her Hands--a Great Singer's Life in Song" a birthday tribute to the legendary singer and longtime Danbury resident, Marian Anderson. Chronicling her life and world travels, "The Whole Word in Her Hands" features art and popular songs from Germany, Scandinavia and Russia, and includes a set of Miss Anderson's signature spirituals, including "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands." Performed on the Danbury Museum campus in the intimate studio where Miss Anderson herself sang. With Hat City artist, Jill Brunelle, pianist. There are two performances on the same day, at 2 pm and 5 pm.
