Join the Paris Apothecary in welcoming local equine veterinarian, Dr. Ann-Marie Hancock, for an informative and interesting discussion on using equine osteopathy as a way to improve the health of your horse! Dr. Hancock is the owner and lead veterinarian for True North Equine Veterinary Services based out of Marshall, VA.
Osteopathy has been around since the 1850's and originally started in the United States. It has given rise to many manipulative therapies and has advanced itself to include Cranio-Sacral osteopathy, and Visceral Osteopathy. Dr. Hancock will explain how osteopathy can help improve the overall health and performance of an individual horse and why it is best used as preventative before major injuries and disease processes have occurred.

About Dr. Hancock (DVM, EDO):
Ann-Marie Hancock was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area of Northern California, where she was active in Pony Club and competed in lower level three day eventing horse trials. Ann-Marie completed her studies at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado, graduating with a BS in Equine Science, an MS in Anatomy and Neurobiology and a DVM in 2003.
Dr. Hancock purchased Rectortown Equine Clinic in 2013 and after several successful years decided to embark on a new endeavor. She relocated the practice to Marshall, Virginia where she intends to build a new facility and changed the practice name to True North Equine Veterinary Services. The clinic will be a hub for the team of practitioners supporting equines in any life stage or discipline, providing a convenient, clean, and friendly work environment for dentists, farriers, saddle fitters, massage therapists, etc.
