ABOUT SUZANNE NUTTALL:
SUZANNE NUTTALL has been described as "a pint-sized Foucault pendulum... perpetually in motion, never missing a note" by Hour magazine while Chart magazine has written "Powerful, haunting and playful voice" and The Montreal Gazette succinctly summed it up with "Great pipes." Suzanne has played in Montreal roots duo Bare Bones, Toronto soul/funk band Sue de Nym, and the all-queer supergroups Disco Dyke Divas and Princess. She is now performing under her own name without a net... and the result is disarmingly intimate and interactive! In late 2011, Suzanne decided to join the digital revolution and make all Sue de Nym tracks available for download on iTunes, and released a music video for the song FALSE MESSIAHS. This signaled her return to original music! In 2012, she entered the studio to record her first new song in over a decade which documents the hardships she's faced and lived through: I SEE WILD HORSES was released on iTunes under her own name and a music video of the song was made. Suzanne played several live shows throughout 2012 accompanied by guitarist Bob Cohen and viola player Charmain Louis. "I See Wild Horses" was nominated for a 2012 OUT MUSIC AWARD in the Folk/Country category and Suzanne attended the awards ceremony in Las Vegas in December. Still reading?!? We'll finish off with a laugh. Recently, music promoter RICHARD FLOHIL wrote "Suzanne Nuttall is the best singer nobody knows." This made Suzanne laugh... and cry a little. Come down to the show and find out for yourself! "False Messiahs" music video: http://youtu.be/imohjQaQCeU

ABOUT EVALYN PARRY:
evalyn parry is an award-winning songwriter, spokenword poet and theatre creator based in Toronto. Inspired by a powerful vision of social activism, parry's solo and collaborative performances have taken her to music, storytelling, poetry and theatre festivals from coast to coast of North America. Over the last decade, she has created six original theatrical productions, and released four critically acclaimed CDs. Her witty, personal and highly original creations ranging in theme from 19th century cycling heroines, to 21st century sailors; from "feminine protection" to bottled water, to the quest for the Northwest Passage have been widely produced, broadcast, commissioned and anthologized. Accompanying herself on guitar, water bottle, shruti box and loop pedals, parry shoots from the hip and aims for the heart. Fierce, funny, poignant and provocative, parry's takes her unique perspective on the world and transforms it into art that spans genres, genders and generations.
evalyn grew up running around at folk festivals, folk music running in her veins: her father David a member of the iconic Toronto folk ensemble The Friends of Fiddlers Green, and her mother Caroline a children's music performer, author and folklorist. No surprise then that evalyn and her brother Richard (a member of Montreal's Arcade Fire) have both emerged as innovative artists in their own right. evalyn's material stands on the foundation of the traditional Celtic and American music she was brought up singing, but takes it in original and unexpected directions.
