Music from the Misty Isles with OCarolan Etcetera and Michael OLeary
The Anglo-Irish ensemble, OCarolan Etcetera, plays toe-tapping fiddle, flute, guitar, and hurdy-gurdy tunes. Balladeer Michael OLeary and his bodhran joins them for laments, lullabies, and love songs for this Music from the Misty Isles performance.
North Shore-based OCarolan Etcetera has entertained Gore Place audiences since 2015. They are Cindy McIntire (flutes and whistle), Adrienne Howard (fiddle and hurry gurdy), and Richard Luecke (guitar).
Michael OLeary is a singer of traditional Celtic and maritime songs and ballads. He has performed at the Boston Celtic Music Festival, Irish Connections, the New England Folk Festival and many other venues. In warmer months, Michael hosts Celtic music cruises aboard Gloucester's schooner Lannon.
Carriage House Concerts brings the finest performers of Classical and traditional music to the beautifully restored 1793 Carriage House at Gore Place. Described as a lovely little music box of a room, the Carriage Room offers intimacy (capacity 75) and wonderful acoustics (most performances dont require amplification). Onsite parking is free and the facility is fully accessible.
