Give Back To Your Garden Park
In the spirit of Martin Luther King's vision of a healthy and connected community, join us in a day of community action at the Sonoma Garden Park! Give back to our favorite community gathering place and public park by helping out with tasks in the winter garden.
Our give back to your garden park workday is Monday, January 15, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tour the garden, help trim the raspberries, prune and paint fruit trees, spread mulch on pathways, celebrate community, and enjoy the wonderful sounds, sights, smells of nature!
This promises to be a fun and inspirational day, working together for the benefit of our community. This day is family friendly! No previous experience or training necessary. Tools and gloves provided, though if you have extra pruners and loppers please bring them.
We hope to see you there!
Sonoma Garden Park is a 6.1 acre public park, working farm, model of sustainable agriculture, and an educational resource. The land was donated to the City of Sonoma in the 1970s by Pauline Bond, a retired school teacher and avid gardener. The Sonoma Ecology Center developed and has been maintaining the Garden Park since 1993.
