The Government Inspector at CTE/TAM Drama in March!
Conservatory Theatre Ensemble, Tamalpais High School's award winning student company, will present "The Government Inspector" adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher from Nikolai Gogol's classic farce and directed by Amy Winnick Stock on March 13-17 at 7:00 PM.
The story, based on an anecdote told to Gogol by Pushkin, circles around a group of locals in a small Russian town that learn an undercover government inspector is planning a surprise visit the the town. An unfortunate case of mistaken identity sends the whole village spiraling chaos as they try to gain his favor. Unfortunately, when he shows up, he's a hapless nobody who relishes the attention he's given by the entire town.
CTE students perform all the roles and provide the design and production work that forms the world of the play. All performances are located at the Caldwell Theatre located at the back of Tamalpais High School's campus where there's plenty of parking.
Come and enjoy this wickedly funny night of theatre! Fun for all ages. Further information is available at www.ctetam.org
