Cllr Karen Constantine was invited to Kurdistan, in September '17 as part of the UK referendum monitoring team.
To ensure a free and fair election process. Karen visited Erbil the capital, and Barderash during the referendum and was very concerned about the Kurdish people and refugees living in Kurdistan and the Yazidees who have been subject to extreme persecution.
Karen's talk, with short films and photographs, will help you to gain some understanding the complex politics of the country and the true value of democracy, how women and girls rights are vulnerable and need protection.
