Jazz at the RAC with Darren Motamedy and Lance Randall and The Nu Jazz Playas
Saxophonist Darren Motamedy is one of the most talented contemporary jazz artist to date. He has shared the international stage with legends and superstars such as: Ray Charles, The O 'Jays, Ronnie Laws, Grover Washington, Jr., The Rippingtons, Kenny G, Tom Scott and Jeff Lorber. On stage, Darren's live performance are full of energy, class and soul. He has released 10 albums nationally, and in 2009 his recording "Don't You Know" was voted Jazz Album of the Year. His music is heard on radio stations worldwide.
Lance Randall and The Nu Jazz Plays are a contemporary jazz group whose performances consist of a combination of sexy, smooth and funky jazz. The group has performed at festivals and venues around the Puget Sound region such as: the Bite of Seattle, Festival Sundiata, Taste of Tacoma, Rock and Roll Marathon, Choochokam Arts Festival, Seattle Museum of Flight, Jackson Street Music Festival, Smooth Jazz Rendezvous on Lake Union, The Green Dolphin Lounge, Willie's Taste of Soul and Urban Enoteca.
