After a year of the new administration in Washington it is clear our fears were not unfounded. Civil liberties, the environment, science, the arts, the working class, the middle class, economic rights, and so many other basic aspects of our society and culture are under sustained attack. WE ARE NOT GOING AWAY is a message of hope and defiance and persistence.
The Kate Schulte Foundations motto is ART 4 JUSTICE! We present the great under-represented jazz musicians of the age to under-served audiences.
Join The JazzPoetry Ensemble (Michael Vander Does, Roger Hines, Roger Myers, Brett Burleson, Laura Kolb) and friends Edward Kidd Jordan and Marlon Jordan for an exciting night of inspiring jazz, funk, poetry, and who knows what. The Kate Schulte Foundation has been bringing Kidd to Columbus, OH, for many years along with Marlon and other great jazz musicians. Now we bring Columbus to Kidd in New Orleans to raise money to keep presenting great New Orleans musicians in Columbus.
Edward Kidd Jordan and Marlon Jordan are respectively the patriarch and one of the scions of the great New Orleans music family. They have collaborated with The JazzPoetry Ensemble at many highly lauded performances.
Advance ticket prices have a minimum donation of $12 with suggested donation levels of $20, $50, and $100. $50 and $100 minimum donations receive premiums like t-shirts and books.
