TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD AT SANDYWOODS
On Monday, March 25, 2013, Boston's New Repertory Theatre will present "To Kill A Mockingbird" at Sandywoods Center for the Arts in Tiverton, RI. 7 pm, one performance only. $15 adults, $10 children.
New Rep's touring program, Classic Repertory Company, brings professional productions of classic and relevant works of literature to communities throughout New England. CRC features the talents of some of the finest professional artists from the Boston area.
CRC's 2012-2013 season includes this 90-minute adaptation of "To Kill A Mockingbird." Adapted by Christopher Sergel and based on the novel by Harper Lee.
CRC's gifted actors will bring to life Harper Lee's timeless tale of race, justice, personal conscience, coming-of-age, and the deep history of the South, all seen through the wide-eyed lens of six-year-old Scout Finch.
One of the best-loved stories of all time, "To Kill a Mockingbird" has earned many awards and honors since its original publication in 1960, including the Pulitzer Prize. Most recently, librarians across the country gave the book the highest of honors by voting it the best novel of the 20th century.
