Project Playwright Festival 2018
After a two-month submission period and hundreds of submissions from around the world, the finalists for Sanguine Theatre Company's Project Playwright Festival are:
Alexandria by Vince Gatton
Little Souvenirs by Gillian Beth Durkee
psychopsychotic by Alexa Derman
The Record Breakers by Kendall Sherwood
The Shampoo Effect by Charlie OLeary
Excerpts from each play will be presented as staged readings, directed by Logan Reed. After hearing all 5 excerpts, the audience votes on the winning script. This winner is announced at the end of the festival evening, and their play will receive a full production in New York City as a part of Sanguines 2018 season.
The 2018 Project Playwright Festival will be held on Monday, January 15 at Access Theaters Gallery Space (380 Broadway in New York). The event will begin at 7:00pm with a celebration to follow. Tickets purchased in advance include a complimentary drink at the event.
