Introduction to Sketchbook Journals in Watercolor

Sketchbook Journals are a safe place to practice your art and play. Learn techniques to get what you want on the page, overcome the blank page stare and which media and tools travel best. Basic drawing skills are helpful, but not required to create a memorable sketchbook page. The focus of this workshop will be travel journals using watercolor. Topics include the tips and tricks of drawing/painting outside, how to finish your page, lettering and looking back. Plus many other techniques that keep your pages interesting. Student supply: Sketchbook of your choosing. Mixed Media or Watercolor paper is best and spiral bound 5 X 8 is a good travel size. Class price includes: watercolor palette, water brush, pencil, black waterproof pen, white gel pen and a view finder
