Agricultural Entrepreneurship & Business Planning - WSU Clark County Extension
The Ag Entrepreneurship and Business Planning (a.k.a. Small Farm Business Planning) course is a 10 week class series that covers business planning and other important aspects of operating an agricultural enterprise. Knowledgeable and experienced speakers are brought in to cover specific topics and local guest farmers share on-farm experiences.
Topics covered: Business Planning Basics Product & Industry Research Business Structures Market Analysis & Consumer Trends Direct Marketing Options Marketing Taxes, Licenses & Payroll Regulations Insurance & Risk Management Record Keeping and Budgeting
Where: 78th Street Heritage Farm at 1919 NE 78th Street, Vancouver, WA 98665 When: Every Wednesday for 10 weeks starting on January 24 through March 28 Cost: $100/farm (up to two attendees per farm)
Participant Expectations: Complete a business plan and present it in class on week 10. Attend at least 70% of classes.
