A DAY ON VENUS - by Aaron Cooper - WINTERFEST 2018
Love is foreign when you're black. This devised piece, constructed out of original prose, verse, and song, explores the nuisance of black love. To Be is the struggle of finding identity, understanding, and acceptance of love for others and in ourselves. We amend ourselves to be loved by society, but how much bending can we do until we break?
