Oklahoma Victory Dolls Host Season Opener to Benefit Neighborhood Service Organization!
The Oklahoma Victory Dolls All Star Squad and Battle Squad will be hosting the Texas RollerGirls Hotrod Honeys from Austin, Texas and the Cen-Tex RollerGirls from Temple, Texas on Saturday, February 2nd, 2013 in the Centennial Building at the State Fair Park, located at 3001 General Pershing Boulevard, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Children 12 and under get in free with a paid adult. Tickets can be purchased at Norman and OKC Guestroom Records (guestroom-records.com), Skate Galaxy (skategalaxyokc.com), Switchblade Skate Co. A portion of the proceeds from the bout will benefit the Neighborhood Service Organization of Oklahoma City. NSO helps at-risk and homeless populations by providing housing solutions and teaching skills to transform lives. Last year they helped make a difference in more than 72,000 individuals' lives. The Oklahoma Victory Dolls All Stars are currently ranked #14 in the Women's Flat Track Roller Derby Association's (WFTDA) South Central Region. They lost their last sanctioned home bout of 2012 against Duke City Roller Derby Munecas Muertas 97 to 82, but won their last away bout against Hard Knox Roller Girls 171 to 85.The All Stars have been working hard in the off season and are striving for a successful season in 2013. The Oklahoma Victory Dolls Battle Squad won their last bout against Assassination City Ruby's Revenge 163 to 89. The Battle Squad has been working alongside the All Stars, improving with every practice and they're also out to achieve a winning season.

About the Oklahoma Victory Dolls- The Oklahoma Victory Dolls (OKVD) are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, focusing on sportsmanship and giving back to the community. OKVD was founded in 2006 and is the youngest league ever to be admitted to WFTDA. They are in their 5th season competing at a national level and representing OKC in the sport of Women's Flat Track Roller Derby.
