A saucy and smoldering burlesque and cabaret brunchtime showcase in Brunchlesque: A Hanky Panky Revue
Glitz, glamor and giggles reign over Studio VaVaVooms Brunchlesque: A Hanky Panky Revue featuring the students of award-winning Studio VaVaVoom and the likewise award-winning ecdysiasts of VaVaVoom Burlesque & Dance. The Sunday Funday show takes place on February 18, 2018 at Pub Rock Live in Scottsdale.
VaVaVooms signature burlesque style combines jazzy and sultry dance moves with the scintillating art of tease, while highlighting lavish costumes that hearken to the glamor of yore. Brunchlesque spotlights blossoming students from adult burlesque dance classes at Studio VaVaVoom, an adults-only dance studio in Tempe and winner for Phoenix Magazines Best of the Valley 2016. The event also shows off burlesque dance company, VaVaVoom, winners of Best Group at Arizona Burlesque Festival, 2015. The studio and the event promote body positivity by showcasing women and men of all shapes and sizes, exhibiting their sensual sides in classic burlesque and cabaret presentations. Studio VaVaVooms burlesque has a knack for increasing confidence and empowerment.
The event producers have wrangled gourmet brunch truck New Flame Café to sell delicious brunchtime food and the venue will offer five dollar bloody marys and mimosas for the event.
Doors open for seating at 12:00pm and the show starts at 1pm. There is one intermission.
Tickets are $25 for reserved VIP tables in front of the stage and $15 for general admission, seat yourself style viewing. Pre-purchase of tickets is encouraged as prices are slightly higher on the day of the show, at the door.
The show is produced by Studio VaVaVoom owner and instructor, Mizz Lucy Morals, who has garnered numerous awards for her Romantasy Cabaret productions, Studio VaVaVoom and its resident dance company.
The show is co-directed and co-produced by June Cleavidge.
